This Privacy Policy explains what SponsorMyStartup collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible and to protect the sensitive data we do hold — most importantly, shipping addresses.

What we collect

Account information: your email address and login credentials.
Business information: your business name, category, description, and the social or payment links you choose to add.
Uploaded images: logos, cover images, and wishlist item photos you upload.
Wishlist content: the items you list, including titles, prices, and retailer links.
Shipping address and phone: stored encrypted, and used only to power the address-reveal gate (the last 4 digits of your phone are the check).

How addresses are protected

Shipping addresses are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption and are never displayed on your public page, in the directory, or to search engines. An address is only decrypted and shown to a supporter after they correctly enter the last 4 digits of your phone number. The phone number itself is used solely to power this reveal check and is not shown publicly.

How we use your data

We use your data to operate the Service: to display your public page, power discovery and search, run the address-reveal gate, secure your account, and respond to reports and support requests. Because SponsorMyStartup never holds funds, we do not collect or store payment card or bank details.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your theme preference. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only as needed to run the Service (for example, with our hosting provider) or when required by law.
